Blue Monday or Most Depressing Day of the year?

So I read in the paper it is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year today, what most refer to as Blue Monday. Was it that way for you?

I must say this weekend I didn’t really feel like doing much, which wasn’t a very good thing. Today wasn’t that bad actually and best of all I really do  believe that exercise does really pick up people’s moods. My yoga class was absolutely rejuvenating. I don’t know if this is related to the controlled breathing, the stretching of the muscles or ideally the good that you are doing for your body.

It started off as a dark day, but then it was followed by a blue sky and sunshine and above all else fresh, cold, freezing air to wake you up. 🙂

One true fact however is that motivation levels are naturally lower now than the rest of the year and I have to say that I have felt this for a fact. So what could be causing it?

Personally? Well I think my attitude sucks and I need to sort that out immediately! … Also, I can’t wait for next week when I receive my new bed that is supposed to allow me to sleep better.

Don’t worry apparently the happiest day of the year is on the 31st January, so not too long!

If you feel down go to the gym, watch a funny movie, listen to happy music, do the wiggle, smile even if you don’t feel like it, relax, meditate and love someone (anyone) even yourself!

Happiness comes from within, we choose it or we choose to ignore it.

Big hug to all of you people out there feeling down, tomorrow is going to be a lovely day full of exciting surprises.

Oh and by the way, I completely freaked out when I saw Mr Mouse running through the office today. It took me 2 seconds to climb up onto a desk and laugh hysterically until I went red in the face and couldn’t breathe anymore.
